One of the greatest aspects of missionary work is that there is no point where you can say, "Okay, we've gotten to point X, now we can say we're done." This has been shown to me over the past couple of weeks as I have been led to think about people that I have seen baptized, both on my mission and afterward.
A week ago in the temple I was thinking about the many great people I have met in my life, and a family from my mission popped into my head. The Chipouka family (one of the most amazing families ever!) consists of a wonderful mother, Daniela, and her two children, Boris and Krystal. I felt strongly impressed to write them a letter and include a couple of small items for the kids. Preparing that package has been a blast!
I also have recently picked up contact again with a young Japanese college student that I had the opportunity to work with as an English tutor here at BYU. He was baptized during his stay in Utah, and has since returned to Japan. It only took a few minutes to write him a quick email, but conversing with him since has been very rewarding. I have the opportunity each time to congratulate him again for his choice, and provide him with a few reassuring words that what he is doing is a very good thing. I have felt very blessed to know him and to be able to provide a little bit of a spiritual boost each time I write to him.
The Lord is definitely aware of His converts! If you will take the time to think about them, I'm sure you too will be impressed to do a little something for somebody, and will enjoy doing so!
